Re: 72 grill
The correct code for 'Petty Blue' was 999. The other blue colors were Chrysler colors and were not petty blue. Petty Blue is trademarked by Petty Enterprises and not for sale (I tried-no sale). Petty Blue was available in '72 as an extra cost option and was offered to celebrate Richards' return to C...

Re: 72 grill
I have a 72 RR which is Petty Blue. PB is not Basin Street Blue. Petty Blue is owned by Petty Enterprises. Chrysler paid Petty Ent for every PB blue car they sold, it was an option with code 999 (special order). Basin Street Blue/Super Blue is option code TB3. The PB color was used to celebrate the ...

A friend who is a parts manager for a Dodge dealership says street hemi orange is correct. The aircleaner top on my 72RR airgrabber (original color) is street hemi orange.

Re: 1971 Factory Sunroof car saved from the salvage yard
Unfortunately I no longer live in CA. I moved to a small town south of Houston, TX. (League City). I'll contact a good friend that lives close to the yard and have him send some pics. The vin plate is/was intact but unsure if the fender tag in still there. Its been 15 months since I left CA. I'll po...

Re: 72 RoadRunner HEMI
Fabulous car! I also have a 72 Roadrunner. I put a 472 hemi in it since the original 400 was long gone. My car is a petty blue 4 spd with an airgrabber. Its almost completed, just the rewiring of the dash and engine compartment. Can't wait to drive it. I'll post some pics when its finished.

Re: 1971 Factory Sunroof car saved from the salvage yard
Nice project car. I know of a 72 Charger sunroof car in a yard in Morgan Hill,CA (south of San Jose). Its a red, U code SE, black top. Its in the same shape as the one you have. The yard will sell the complete car. The amazing thing is the yard owner still has the original 440 block but will not sel...
