Re: Another new 71 owner

Looking really nice!! I don’t believe I’ve ever seen that color before. Thank you. Sorry I missed your post, haven't logged in here in a good while. And the car hasn't progressed since those pics were posted, as I've had to spend the spring/summer upgrading the wiring in my 174 year old house from ...

Edited previous pic dump post... don't know why the last few links were bad, but I uploaded a few shots of the engine.

Nice! And welcome back! Only a few of us posting much anymore. It seems the site is slowly fading away......
Scott.
Thanks. Yep, kinda looks like a deserted boomtown around here these days.

Re: Another new 71 owner

The necromancer has returned, to raise this zombie thread from the dead once more  I haven't been on this site in a long time. But I have been working on the car here and there as I can. Engine bay is only part of the car painted so far (GB7 Evening Blue). Steering column had to be installed te...

The rust repair is tedious - but has to be done right. Can't wait until I am through with that part. Scott.

Re: Another new 71 owner

Not much new going on here... got the car back home this past week for a bit while I do some grunt work stripping the engine bay down. Body man needed the space for another car for a minute. But it feels good to see that the main fuselage is squared up & the heavy lifting on rust repair is done! :be...

Re: Another new 71 owner

A little more movement towards the ultimate goal... fresh AMD quarters & minor metal work/rust repair around trunk opening & along drip rails. Had a new striker panel/door jamb section patched in on passenger side. Section around front windshield opening (A-pillars) & trunk lid in progress now. http...

Re: VICTORY!!! Finally

Congrats! I remember when I put a tko in the 69 Mach 1 I used to have... message board guys said it would fit without cutting no problem. BZZZZT... wrong! Either you cut the tunnel and/or mill the transmission case to get the angle of the dangle right. At least in my case. Glad you got it sorted out.

Re: Best Replacement Quarter Panels?

So a full quarter for a 72 is on the way and I'll have to swap the marker over as well. The 71's are out of stock and they don't have any plans on running a new batch anytime soon. I lucked out and got one of the last AMD 71 driver's side quarters late last fall/winter, but for the passenger side w...
