Re: 71 roadrunner gas tank
Agree to replace the rubber lines. They go up to a canister and 1 line to the breather. Don't block them off.

Re: 71 SSP Charging system
The dash harness can be temporarily bypassed, connect the alternator output lead(Black-12ga) to the battery positive, provide +12V to the engine harness ignition run circuit, dark blue wire with a trace. If needed, providing +12V to the brown wire while cranking will by-pass the ballast resistor, a...

Steering Column Interchange
Will a P/S floor shift steering column out of a 1973 Satellite work in a 1971 Satellite?
I know in 73/74 the k-member underwent some changes. Would that affect the steering column interchange?
Thanks.

In reading the FSM it seems there are 2 tools I should be using C-4044/Steering Shaft Remover and C-4113/...

Re: Aluminum Radiators
Now that I have widened the lower mounting tabs, the radiator is bottoming out on the lower radiator support before the top slots line up with the upper mounting holes.

Re: Aluminum Radiators
I pulled the trigger on a Champion EC374, 2 row, 26" aluminum radiator.
The bottom mounting tabs should be 28" on center, but it's 27.5". Guess I'll have to break out the jigsaw and widen the openings.
