Re: Aluminum Radiators
If you had gotten a radiator from Glen Rey like advised there wouldn't be any mounting problems. Yeah, right. Except that you'd be more than $700 poorer compared to buying a Champion radiator and drilling a couple of holes. I mean, $895 for a radiator ? Plus shipping no doubt. Thats half my mortgag...

Re: Aluminum Radiators
The mounting holes in the champion radiator flanges are generic, they're not intended to line up with a specific application. To mount the one I have in my Duster I just set a paint stick on the radiator lower support, set the radiator on it, and then marked where the mounting holes needed to be on ...

Re: Manual brakes to Power brakes quesion
Back on track.. Is the booster plate on there now for a manual or a power brake setup? Do I need to purchase a new plate? Does anyone have the linkage for sale? Thanks, Patrick That plate is neither. As in, that's not a stock plate. Your car has been modified, the bolt heads are a dead giveaway. Yo...

Re: Manual brakes to Power brakes quesion
Have you used power brakes on these cars before and liked them? Maybe I'm the only one, but I don't like them. I have power disks on my Challenger and on my SSP, but I have manual disks on my Duster. I have never liked the feel of the power disks on my Challenger. They work great, but the pedal feel...

Re: Odd taillight issues.
First, check the grounding. The grounds on the tail lights aren't great, and a bad ground can cause all sorts of issues. Second, what kind of LED's are installed? Some are just cheap garbage. Some are better than the original incandescents, just depends on what you actually have. Third, turn signals...

Re: Parts for sale
I won't send PP payments as a "gift" anymore if I'm purchasing something. I'll include the 3% Paypal fee if that's what the seller wants because using Paypal is still a convenience for me, but will not send any money as "friends/family" for the purchase of an item. It leaves you with no recourse or ...

Re: Disc brake conversion kits
Unless you plan on going bigger than the OE brake sizes (10.9" or 11.75"), I wouldn't use aftermarket kits. The stock disks are more than capable, and all of the parts are readily available. If junkyard shopping isn't your thing, you can get kits from Doctor DIff that use the OE parts 10.9" kit (thi...

Re: awesome deals on sway bars
Do those actually make a difference, a noticeable difference? Absolutely. Even compared to a set of stock sway bars. Body roll is significantly reduced, so you car will remain flatter in the corners and handle much better. Obviously, the most gain would come from pairing them with upgraded tires an...

Re: Wheels
15x10's in the back will be no problem. You'll need between 5.5" and 6" of backspace, and shouldn't have any issues running anything up to about a 295. "0" offset is 5.5" on a 10" rim, although theres a little more room to the springs in the back with a zero offset rim. I think a 15x10" with a 6" ba...

Re: Tires on 71-72 Roadrunner
I don't see the inner brace being a problem. It's curved, which provides good clearance for suspension travel. The E-body brace was flat, so it had to go. On the Satellite I don't see the brace being a problem unless you were all the way out at the very edge of the fender with the tire. As far as th...

Re: Tires on 71-72 Roadrunner
So I finally got the chance to mount up the wheels from my Challenger onto my '71 SSP. The rims are 17x9" with a 5" backspace, and have 275/40/17's on them. Based on what I saw, which was a TON of space pretty much everywhere, I think that if you wanted you could easily run 295's on all 4 corners of...

Re: Tires on 71-72 Roadrunner
question would this be true for say oem spindles running 10" rims, but I mentioned that the hub I'm using is 3/4" longer than stock so wouldn't I have to have a rim of 6" backspace before i start to see issues? I only ask because I have the spindles, brakes ect. mounted on my car, I'm running a 13"...

Re: Help with value of a 71 340 car
That's a nice looking Road Runner! Love the butterscotch paint. :D As far as price, it seems like the market is a bit soft on these cars right now. I would say around $10-12k for a ballpark, just because it looks so good. The mechanical problems could definitely lower that though. Here's a completed...

Re: Tires on 71-72 Roadrunner
thanks for the reply, sometimes the simplest answers are the best ones :) at least now I know a 17x9 0 offset fits - I can go from there. Do think its possible to get a 18x10 in there? second question, whats the lowest you can slam the car down without tire interference? do you think you could stil...
