Side mirror install
Wondering if anyone would have a diagram with correct side mirror with remote cable run? My 71 was striped when I bought it and can't seem to find any diagrams on it. Any info would be great.

THANKS MARK!!!There we go that's what I've been talking about. 71 must be different then 72. Notice the difference in the roof/window frame in pictures above.

Doug, that's an awesome photo. BUT mine not exactly the same. The coat hook and belt location are there retainers locations are NOT, the rear bulge is the there just would need to drill holes no problem but the front bulge is replaced and is concave. Oh Boy!! That's good that I don't need them but I don't have 2 horizontal holes together were the retainers look like they would go. So what holes are used for belt retainers and which hole is used for coat hook for matter. Headliner installer sent me an email of these brackets that looked like they...

Ok maybe I should say brackets, there are 2 brackets each side that screw into window/roof frame then headliner goes on then the metal clips screw on with plastic over them to hold belts. Brackets are what I'm talking about.

My 71 is now Ready for Vinyl top and headliner except installer told me I need clips that go in before he installs headliner so I can put shoulder belts in. Car had NO headliner or shoulder belt set up when I bought it , just had headliner bows. DON'T even know what I'm looking for, anyone have any ...

Did not use them with on mine and had no problems, just spray valley pan with Permatex Copper sealant and torque to specs!!

The rear bumper comes off the best with bumper brackets, there should be 3 bolts on the right and left side, and 1 nut on the right and left side in your trunk. The studs on the brackets help support the bumper as you remove or install it. Hope this helps.

That's the problem there is no dog leg on manual latch and has a hinge spring that needs to be pull down and forward, there is a manual setup on ebay with pics but I don't know how to link it.

Okay after all your info and looking at some pics my latch is for manual and I thought I would just buy the cable and hook it up and be done. Well not so easy I need to get a latch set up for cable release. Does anyone reproduce them??

Yes that would help alot if my latch looked anything like that, I wonder if the cable and manual latches different.

putting a cowl seal from yearone and it does not have clips installed does the open side face engine compartment? and is the best way to install this put clips on car push seal down in place on tabs bend tabs over after they come thru bottom of seal
