Re: 1973 RR headliner

Mike, Can't tell you where to go if Legendary doesn't have the correct pattern for your headliner. I now know these guys personally and can say give them a call and they will help you find exactly what you need for your car. They matched our headliner perfectly on our 72. And yes I compared to the o...

Re: 2 Tone 72 RR and the 72 Option and Accessory Report

Mitchell, Sorry I didn't respond sooner. I sent you an email last night and would be happy to send you pictures if you still want them. The car is essentially finished now (as if you ever get done, lol) and is my son's pride and joy. We have lots of dollars and many long nights in the car but I woul...

Doug's Header Install Questions

Fairly close to installing our newly rebuilt 440 in our 72 RR. Bought a set of Doug's D452 ceramic coated headers a few months back to use with our build. Reading through the instructions it says not to use these headers for the break-in process as it can discolor the coating. After reading all the ...

72 Green Dash Pad Paint Question

We just got a bright blue dash pad and need a color change to make it green to match our interior in the roadrunner. We purchased the OER interior paints PP444 (which is what I thought we needed) and PP434 to see if it was a closer match. Neither match the original color of the dash pad (comparing t...

Re: Roadrunner/Satellite vinyl top

I went hunting for these not too long ago for the full vinyl top trim and belt molding on our 72. If they are the same for your 71 then I think you have the incorrect part number. The Chrysler p/n is 6003133, not 6003313. Here is a pic of the clips: http://i1372.photobucket.com/albums/ag348/2Tone72R...

Re: 2 Tone 72 RR and the 72 Option and Accessory Report

Hey everyone, We finally got old '2 Tone' back from the body shop. :) :) Here's a few pictures when we pulled in our place: http://i1372.photobucket.com/albums/ag348/2Tone72RR/1972%20Two%20Tone%20Roadrunner/Home%20Again2_zpsbl9yraef.jpg http://i1372.photobucket.com/albums/ag348/2Tone72RR/1972%20Two%...

72 Roadrunner Parts Color Questions

Ok, so I used SEM bumper coater on my 72 grille and it turned out really nice. I am very happy with it. Now what about these pieces: 1. Front turn signal lens surrounds? Ours appear to be the same greyish color as the grille. Is that correct? 2. Lower valence grille where the front license plate wou...

Re: 72 grill

Centofanti, Hoover Auto Parts (rob1426) has a listing for a 72 roadrunner grill fastener set on Ebay right now. Don't know if it has everything but at least it's a place to start with a good picture. Obviously not cheap but I haven't seen the two piece plastic washers available anywhere else lately ...

http://i1372.photobucket.com/albums/ag348/2Tone72RR/6-2015%20Runner3_zpsshj4dn3u.jpg Sorry it has been so long since an update guys. This is probably the latest picture I have. Not much different from the ones before. The body shop is moving at a snail's pace right now and I have been busy trying t...

Re: 72 Roadrunner Grille Paint ????

Thanks for the response and the pictures. I now have some SEM paint ordered for the plastic pieces. Looking at your car, in your opinion, is the honeycomb lighter, darker, or basically the same as the plastic? It's kinda hard to tell in the pictures but the closeup looks about the same to me.

72 Roadrunner Grille Paint ????

We are preparing to paint the grille on our 72 RR soon and I have a couple of questions about the paint: 1. What color is best for the plastic pieces -- headlight bezels and center section? From my research on this site it appears that SEM 39023 (medium driftwood metallic) bumper coater in a spray b...

Re: 2 Tone 72 RR and the 72 Option and Accessory Report

Thanks for the compliments guys! My son was adamant that the car had to be painted back to the original colors and now I'm glad that's what we did. We did find a date code correct 400 to put in it someday when the 440 gives up but for right now it will just look original until you open the hood.

Thought it was about time for an update on the Roadrunner. Still waiting for body and paint to get finished but this is what the car looks like now: http://i1372.photobucket.com/albums/ag348/2Tone72RR/1972%20Two%20Tone%20Roadrunner/IMG_1731S_zps869f177f.jpg http://i1372.photobucket.com/albums/ag348/...

Re: Performer RPM fitment

Reviving an old post here. Was wondering, did the Mopar Performer RPM manifold work under the stock non AG hood? And what other modifications did/do you have to do to make it work (linkage, throttle cable, etc.)? We are building a 440 for our 72 and want to use the rpm intake if possible with the or...
