Re: Help replacing Headlight switch and instrument bulbs

Those headlight switches are a bit tricky at first but once you figure out how to do it, it is a snap. To get at the headlight switch you should remove the AC heater control in order to make room for your hand. Doing this MAY allow you enough room to get at those last 2 bulbs you need to replace. Be...

Re: Anyone here used Auto Metal Direct bumpers?

Personally, no, but there's a thread around here somewhere with a beautiful orange car in it... sjd The orange car is mine. Thanks for the compliment Steve. Yeah I bought one of the first AMD repro front bumpers. I ordered one for a 71 but the one they sent was a 72 bumper in a 71 box. Only differe...

Re: How many miles have you put on your car this year

I finished mine this year, then I re-did a bunch of stuff. Like a lot of stuff. At this point though, I am pretty happy with it and have put just over 1000 miles on it in the last few months. Mainly just getting it broken in and working out the bugs. God willing, it'll get a lot more in the coming m...

Re: 1972 Plymouth Satellite Sebring Plus 400-4BBL

Looks great. I have the same interior. You went the extra mile with yours and from what I can see, it looks excellent. I get a lot of comments about how hard it is to keep a white interior clean but to be honest, it isn't that bad. Yeah you don't want to get all greasy and then just jump in and go f...

Re: Strobe Stripe Question

No, not all of them had a strobe. It was an optional thing. If it wasn't ordered with a strobe they just put the "road runner" emblems centered above the rear wheels with the "running bird" above them. http://i59.tinypic.com/2f03x2q.jpg Since you asked, I believe there was even a fender tag code for...

Re: Strobe Stripe Question

Looks like yours had the V21 which in 71, if I'm thinking right, would have been the pinstripes in the recessed areas of the call outs on a standard RR hood and looks like no strobe code there so it probably didn't have one originally.

Re: 72 RoadRunner HEMI

Having not seen anymore of it than I have here. Not knowing any more about it than what you said here. You can ask whatever you want for it. All it takes is the ONE right buyer to make a sell so I'd say to just ask what you want for the car and take offers. Nothing wrong with that. Personally, I'd s...

Re: ***SPECIAL THANKS TO 72ROADRUNNERGTX***

I have to agree with that^^^ statement. I've never asked you a question directly but many times I've searched for an answer to a problem I had, and found the answer in one of your posts. You do good work and take good pics as well. Thanks for all the help you may not have even realized you had given...

Re: A conversation with John Herlitz in Mopar Action

Interesting that Mr. Herlitz preferred the 72 rear bumper over the 71. I tend to agree though I own a 71. I am curious what rear window design he had in mind to differ from the dodge version that went into production. I ran across this pic but it is the only one I've seen. Can't see the back glass ...

Re: 3rd Time's a Charm?

Haha, Harpo. I do have all the side trim but I am keeping all the original parts should I ever decide to take the car back to original someday.

Thanks Jace. I'm looking forward to going to some car shows next month. Seems like we got it done just in time.

Re: 3rd Time's a Charm?

Well, other than minor detailing, it is finished. http://i59.tinypic.com/2568r6e.jpg http://i61.tinypic.com/3088u2g.jpg http://i61.tinypic.com/34yzogp.jpg It runs great, drives great, looks good. I'm happy with it. I had it appraised by a well known appraiser in Houston and he classified it as "exce...

Re: the difference between satellite and Roadrunner upholste

"Folding center armrest" was an option, yes. Typically referred to as a "buddy seat".

I bought Legendary covers for my 72 and I compared to the originals (which weren't in terrible shape) and they are close. Any differences aren't very noticeable if there are any.

Re: the difference between satellite and Roadrunner upholste

I think it's all the same as far as the seats go. You could get the same seats in any of the different models. Differences depend only on the option code and model year of the car as far as I've seen.

Upper door panels are a different story.
