Re: Why wasn't the 440 available with a 4 spd after 1972?
That is a good question. I, living in California, remember that from the early seventies through 1982, when the first Mustang GT 5.0 came out, you couldn't buy a V8 car with a manual transmission at all in CA. Trucks yes, but no cars. Even the late seventies Trans Am had the 403 with an automatic on...

Re: 71 Satellite 383 cars......
If it is a Satellite, it should have the 383 Commando or Super Commando pie pan. Only the road runner would have the r.r. pie pan and the "Magnum" pie pan would only be on a Dodge.

Re: Rallye cluster clock wiring
To my knowledge, which is by looking at a clock that used to be in my car and the FSM, there is only one wire feeding to the clock. This will be the positive wire the FSM shows coming from the amp meter. The ground is done directly by the cluster. The back of the clock is metal and is screwed direct...

Re: oil filter ?
Maybe you can try to get a hold of one of the a-body 90 degree angle adaptors which were used on some of the small block a-body cars. I used to have a 67 cuda w/headers, not tti, and with the adaptor it was no problem.

Re: roadrunner tool box
That is a cool old box, but $70+ by the time you add shipping? It's a bit steep.

I saw this tool box at my local Ace Hardware and my family just had to get it for me.

I have a small rotor caliper and bracket from my 71 which I measured at 3.25". It appears that your bracket is from a small rotor setup.

Re: Fender tag screws
To my knowledge, it was just installed unfinished. My old Barracuda's screw was simply covered with surface rust after 40 years. I would put a clear coat on the screw to prevent the rust but that is all.

Re: Fender tag screws
From what I have been told, the fender tag was installed with one screw, then the tag bent upward so that paint would get under it. After paint the others screw which was unpainted was installed to fasten it down. same thing i read - furthermore if i remember what i read correctly normally the fron...

Re: fuel leak at carb
Are you using a standard mechanical fuel pump? It sounds like you might have too much pressure going in. Check the fuel for correct application. Many years ago, I had a Barracuda in which I put on an incorrect fuel filter which didn't have enough restriction and had a problem similar to yours. Anoth...

Re: Hood to cowl seal for 71
I was able to recently find a rad support seal in my local wrecking off of a mid seventies b-body station wagon and it fit perfectly. After I cleaned it up, I used tire foam on it and let it dry in the sun before installing it. Looks great. I have also seen the cowl seals on some of the mid to late ...

Re: 3 nipple breather and air cleaner vacuum hook up
I do believe that the third port connects to the carburetor bowl vent, if you still have one.
The following thread has a picture of the air cleaner hose routing.

Finally have my decals
Well, I finally made a trip to Classic Industries today. I only live about 15 miles away. Purchased my strobe stripe, engine call outs, and others in their package. Also picked up a new head liner.
Now it is just a matter of doing some installation/mounting.
Wish me luck
