Re: 1972 RR color code question
My Dart is an original B1 Blue car and I didn't care for the color, but it has really grown on me and is very different than all the other colors out there. I will be repainting it that color soon.

Re: 1972 400 Block Casting # Question
My 72 was built on the last production day and I would have thought it to have a 73 block if not a 72, but I was surprised when I found out it has a 71 in it. I guess the 340 was so poular they made a ton of them in 71 and had plenty to carry on into the next couple model years.

It amazes me how many people are afraid of rust, its a mopar they all rust. This car is damn solid if you ask me, and a great candidtate for restoration. Sounds like she will be perfect for what you are wanting to do with her.

Re: Difference Between 71 and 72 Bucket Seat Covers?
Out of curiosity I compared all my seats and discovered this. My 72 SSP which has its original interior has all correct 72 grain seat covers EXCEPT the top back seat is 71 pattern! That made me look at my 72 RR which also has its original interior and it has all 1971 grain in it!

Re: Difference Between 71 and 72 Bucket Seat Covers?
That is possible, My SSP has white interior and the RR was gold. Probably not used as much as black so they could have run out of black and just replaced it with the new pattern as they had it in stock.

Re: Bench front seats
The bench and tracks will fit as the floor pans are the same. I don't know if you can use the covers and foam on a different year frame though. If they are like A-Body benches then they changed through the years. 71-74 B-Body Buckets and tracks are the same as 71-74 E-Body Buckets and tracks as long...

Re: Difference Between 71 and 72 Bucket Seat Covers?
My 72 SSP was built in May of 72 in Canada and had the correct 72 buckets seats. My 72 RR was built on the last day of production in St. Louis and also had the correct 72 buckets.

Re: 1971 Road Runner Parts Question & Help
Any Sat/GTX/RR grill from 1971 will work. It is a one year only grill. Look on ebay or moparts. I do see them often at the Nats/Carlisle swap area. It was used for 2 years, they are cheap and easy to find. I have 4 of them. Yeah I dont know if I sent a pm back last night to you or not over on the B...

Re: Difference Between 71 and 72 Bucket Seat Covers?
Looks like I answered my own question. They are different. I was wondering why my new legendary covers didn't match my 72's original interior. 71 and 72 use different grains in the vinyl.
