I don't know if they did it to prevent water from working in or for sound dampening. It was weird, but it had brown and...

Re: Airgrabber Door assembly help

I think I have some pictures, I will look through my stuff. I hope AAR has improved their flapper door. I purchased one when they first came out and I just couldn't make it work. It was bulkier than stock and stiffer to rotate. Finally after wrestling with it over and over and over, I ordered a flap...

Progress?????

Well had some time this week to tear down a lot of my car. Should I be worried that I told my brother/mechanic that I was going to pull the motor and he said "why?". Well, anyway my plan is to do what I can, label and photograph everything so that someday it goes back together. Will probably hire ou...

Awesome job!

My favorite part of the last picture is the debris pile on the floor. Job well done.

Re: taking off some mud.

Advice on how to proceed........

Should I break out some media and start blasting the entire car till all the metal is exposed? Or is that overkill for a one day dairly driver? Should I get it dipped and have someone who knows what the heck they are doing repair the metal?

I also have a crack at the top of my drivers side door. It moves when weight it applied. Repairable?

Re: decoding

One more cool thing I didn't notice until Eric ripped out all that great information by memory is that the car was scheduled to be built one day before my first birthday........

Opps! After closer inspection it's 4/19/70 which is actually my little sister's birthday.
