Re: Pics of my 72 for those that haven't seen it
Great story. Would this be a Road Runner/GTX with the 440?

Re: oil pump replacment big block
The oil pump bolts to the lower left side of the block on B and RB engines. Remove the dist and drive gear, and then unbolt the pump. It might be a good idea to put a magnetic oil drain plug in.

Re: monster mopar weekend
What's that squeaking sound....LOL. The worst thing about MMW is that if you don't preregister, you only get one ticket. You only get 2 tickets if you preregister. Total BS if you ask me.

Re: Great to Meet some members at Carlisle!
Harold, go ahead and post pictures of it if you want. I am not very good at this computer stuff. Also, I am depending on you and anyone else to post pictures of it at the Nats. I wish I could see it all finished there, but oh well, at least I made it to Carlisle! Jeff I will take a few of the "comp...

Re: Great to Meet some members at Carlisle!
Jeff, Are you going to post any pictures of that beautiful car of yours, or am I going to have to do it for you?

We are planning to be there all 3 days. We are parking on the show side in the club parking. We will be taking the '71.

Re: Carlisle Pictures?
I didn't take to many pictures, but I did get a few of this beautiful 71 GTX. I'm not going to post to many pictures of it. I will let him show off that beautiful ride himself when it is finished. Here is a sneak peak from over head. I don't think my car took a very good picture under the lights. At...

Re: '71 383 call outs
I got the replacement call outs today. They are just like what the car had on it, and exactly what I wanted. The 383 numbers are white reflective and the back ground is gloss, but not reflective black. They look great at night as all that lights up now are the numbers. Kudos to Dave at Performance C...

Re: '71 383 call outs
This is one of the rare cases I disagree with David (performance car graphics). In my experience, the decal base for the 71s is reflective white with the black "background" printed on top. My survivor is this way, and others I've looked at were the same. I asked another guy that's in the know about...

RS23U1E...thanks for the reply. This is what I think they should be also. I am going to call the supplier and get a correct set.

'71 383 call outs
I have a '71 Road Runner with a 383. I have a question about the engine call out on the hood inserts. The numbers are white reflective, but what about the black background? My car had (not original decals) gloss black background and reflective white numbers. What is correct? I ordered a set from Per...

Re: Carlisle 2011
Now I don't know what to do about Carlisle. I submitted a request for the '71 to be considered for the invitational display back in Dec. Well, they contacted me late last week and want me to bring the car for display in building T. With the slow response from them, I just assumed that they did not c...

Wow, they sure are. I never thought about it, but with the different bumper contours, the valance has to be different also.471Magnum wrote:Those are 71 valances. 72s are different.droptop wrote:AMD web sight shows them ready to ship.
