Where is the cowl location for the last 6 digits of the VIN# on a 72 RR?

I'm looking at a 72 RR for sale and something doesn't quite seem right to me.I haven't taken down all the fender tag #'s yet so maybe there's a moulding/trim code for this.The RR is two tone, Petty blue upper, Silver lower.The moulding starts at the front fender body line back over the wheel opening...
