Re: Retrosound Radio System Installed in 71 Roadrunner

Thank-you for the info, it helps alot. I'm looking into it now. I have a faceplate to gauge the pots from my indefinately suspended marriage of old and new Chrysler radio project from another post. I still would love to do that project but too other projects to devote the time and focus. someday. Th...

Re: Retrosound Radio System Installed in 71 Roadrunner

Ron- Question for you... that "special bracket", was that available with the kit or did you fab that? I would like to purchase a Retrosound for my '73 but not sure what to get. Bracket looks easy enough to fab. How does it attach? Is there is enough slack for the tuning potentiomemter? How did you j...

Re: 73 Road Runner door hinges

FWIW, If you can find them, later year B-Body hinges are of an improved design with the S spring and work much better. IIRC The newer P/Ns were 3788022 and 023. If you want factory correct, I had mine rebuilt (for a different car) at SMS in New York but I don't know if they are still around. Some pe...

Re: weekend plans (more progress)

Thanks!! 20 year project! Started as a 73 Sebring Plus with 318/904 2.71 8.25 rear. Now 340/727 3.55 8.75 sg. Added Firm Feel P/S Box, front and rear sway bars, removed the rubber isolators basically converted to a Road Runner, improving on the original design and keeping it simple. Always wanted a ...

Re: 71 Roadrunner Strobe Stripe install, any tips or ideas?

As mentioned above. Three piece decal, major PITA, according to my body guy. Take your time, plenty of sudsy water, and squeegie. http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i159/apf383/thanksgiving2002025.jpg Cake walk compared to the 73/74 stripe, that's a project. I've done both + Rumble Bee stripe on an ...

Re: request for participation

I browse this site occasionally and would like to see the Image Gallery active again with vintage ads and maybe an expanded technical archive. There is alot of great information on other sites is there anyway it could be used here? Maybe creating or having contributor supplying .pdf files and hostin...

Re: Dante's Mopar Parts

Huh? Dante is a good guy. Would definately buy from him again, worry free. He's on Moparts quite a bit and I'm sure many people will vouch for his reputation. One quality I always like in vendors is that they actually get back to you and Dante does. I can name many who don't.

Re: SRT-71

I was wondering where my copy of ME was to the point of getting ready to contact them. The cover was posted last week on Moparts. Anyway, Mopar Enthusiast allows suscribers to log in and download pages although it is a rather cumbersome (and sometimes frustrating) process. Hopefully ME will arrive i...

Re: 72 Radio upgrade info

I got a pretty good idea but would also like to know where you "tapped in" for the line outs and it almost looks like the modern chassis with the vintage front. If you swapped everything over to the vintage chassis then I can see using the mounting points to mount to the dash frame. The display from...

Re: Continuing progress on the 72’ Road Runner/GTX

Very nice car! Thanks for keeping us up to date. Can you please descibe the radio alittle more? Particulary the radio push buttons and the display setup? I would like to attempt a similiar project. The simularities between the radio's is pretty good. The modern chassis with the vintage front and rew...

71 Roadrunner ad pic request

If someone could scan/post the 1971 Plymouth ad that has the Roadrunner and a mirror image of the Satellite, I would be most grateful.

Thanks!

some of the numbers supercede, and some of them are on backorder.

The Factory Service Manual also has this info
