Sept 13 (16).jpg My wife bought it as a birthday present some time ago - but because the shop was a mess with the underside bead blasting I didn't want to hang it then. I think it looks good in it's new home. Sept 13 (13).jpg Sept...

Re: Startin to work on the Clone Runner (it's PAINTED!)

So the cut and polish is complete now. Ryan finished last night at midnight. He put a final coat of wax on it. This is the stuff he used. Sept 13 (2).jpg The car certainly is shinier than before - and when it was painted it was shiny. These indoor pics may not do it any justice. Sept 13 (4).jpg Sept...

Re: Startin to work on the Clone Runner (it's PAINTED!)

Scott, you certainly helped me by supplying the door that I needed  . Yes its been quite the journey for me. You and the others here can relate as we are doing what we can ourselves to try and save some $$$. Yes I did fork out quite a bit of $$$ for the body and paint but if I gave it ago myse...

Re: Startin to work on the Clone Runner (it's PAINTED!)

The next step is to get a cut & buff done on the clear coat.
The young guy I found to do it in my garage is great.
This is his daily driver...

Re: Startin to work on the Clone Runner (it's PAINTED!)

So the first order of business was to get some protection inside the wheel wells. Instead of just going with the usual undercoating, I decided to use this stuff. August 9 (4).jpg August 9 (5).jpg Being a truck bed liner, it is tint able, so I bought a quart of W3 enamel to mix into it. The end resul...

Re: 1971 Plymouth Roadrunner

I would be putting a Mopar electronic ignition on it. The control box can be hidden under the battery tray if desired. An electronic wiring harness is available for it. Electronic big block distributors are still plentiful enough, even used ones work just fine. Just don't buy one that was on a Lean ...
