I bought mine minus base plate and cover for $450 in 1991. I don't know if it is inherent in all these hoods , but mine had a stress crack along the top fiberglass, also the studs that hold the air box can back out or strip if you disassemble . not to mention the actuator may or may not hold vacuum....

thanks, the only stuff I've done so far have been floors and unibody behind fenders and on rockers.
I would like to pick up a rotisserie at some point if anyone has info on that . thanks Dave
