Re: 1 of 1 1974 Road Runner

No vinyl roof... tought sunroof mandated vinyl roof? They did require the vinyl up through 1972. But things changed in 1973. ASC started producing manual sunroof kits that they sold to Chrysler. Instead of pulling the cars off the assembly line and having ASC employees install the sunroofs, Chrysle...

Re: Daddy's Stinky Car progress page - updated for 2018.

Still working a ton on the unfinished basement - but managed to get the ole girl out of the garage for a proper bath. She got a little down and dirty while being stored outside even with the car cover. Took some time and worked on cleaning up some welds in the driver door hinge area, and finally got...

Re: Pink torsion bar inspection marks found

Hey Patrick, looks like I show a couple different possibilities for torsion bars on 73-74 B-Bodies, probably depending on suspension package. Bars 3402658 and 659 for 318, 340, 400 cars are 43.6" long and have a 0.92" diameter. Bars 3402660 and 661 are for 318, 360, 400, and 440 cars. They are 0.94"...

Looking good! The rust repair is tedious - but has to be done right. Can't wait until I am through with that part. Scott.

Re: New to RRNest

Welcome to the Nest! Sorry the responses are slow - pretty laid back crowd here. I do not know of any color break down for just the 1971 RRs, but we do have numbers for the whole 1971 satellite line. Black was 1.2% of production. No numbers available that I know of for 1972 - but Tawny was 5.5% of p...

Re: 1971 GTX St. Louis Production

Hi Scott, Yep, it's an early production car. August. But I do not have a fender tag or build sheet so my knowledge of this car is limited. I will say it's RS23U1G1007XX on my VIN though. Not sure this would help but a local guy looked at it and thinks it could have been one of the first ones off th...

Re: 1971 Factory Sunroof car saved from the salvage yard

Just got this build thread out of Photobucket purgatory. Here are a couple of pics from last summer - still hoping to get my car corral built this summer so I can start tearing stuff down and inventorying parts.

Re: Daddy's Stinky Car progress page - updated for 2017.

Finally took the time to get this thread out of the depths of the photobucket debacle. I have moved my pics over to imugr and am happy with how easy it is to link from there. Added a few more pics above from the move into the new homestead. Hoping to find time this summer to get back to it. Enjoy! S...
