Re: Daddy's Stinky Car progress page - updated for 2020.

Did a little bit of work last fall, but promised myself that I would do some work each week once summer hit. A little slow getting started, but hopefully I will roll from here. Got my engine up on the stand and my buddy Jeremy will be coming over to just look over the bottom end before we start bolt...

Re: 73 GTX

Looks like a great project. I think they just sandblasted the fender tag and then put it back on the car. I don't see anything with the coding at the moment that looks off. Nice triple black car with the white stripe. Hope someone takes the time to put that one back right.

Re: 1971 Plymouth Roadrunner

Wow, that is a super cool car! V-code, 4-speed, Super Track Pack, Air grabber. Someone ordered that car up with going fast and looking cool in mind. Definitely do your homework and work on putting that one back close to original. Definitely worth the effort! Good luck!

Re: 1971 Plymouth Roadrunner

Here is a picture of whats left of the canopy top on my project sunroof Satellite. If you look close, you can see the top goes back to the back top corner of the rear window.

Re: 1971 Plymouth Roadrunner

These cars did have a canopy top option, but it ran a little further back to just above the top back corner of the back window. If the car had a vinyl top, it would be coded as V1_ for a full vinyl top, and V4_ for the canopy top - the blank is for the color of the top - like V1X for black. The cano...

Re: 1971 Plymouth Roadrunner

Very cool! Is it a true 6 pack and 4 speed car, or were those items added? Regardless, its cool that you have been able to keep a family car. Do you plan to blow it apart? Or are you just going to get it running for now? I kind of regret blowing my gold Sebring Plus apart right away - kind of wish t...

Very cool! I have found very little info on the dealership that was there. I think I found an old address, but that is about it.

Re: 1971 Factory Sunroof car saved from the salvage yard

Well, after hibernating at my grandpa's place for just over 7 years, I finally grabbed my buddy Jeremy's trailer and brought my 71 sunroof car to my new car corral. Now I have all my babies on one place! Now I need to get on my GY8 car and get it done so I can get busy on my 2 sunroof cars! https://...

Well, my donor car arrived yesterday from eastern SD and its a very rusty one! But its not the sheet metal that I am after. Its all the nuts and bolts and interior parts that I need to resurrect the Hemi Orange car. This donor car has a clean uncut rallye guage cluster, front frame rails, suspension...

Re: Top Speed 71' Roadrunner

Any Satellite/RR/GTX can easily attain 200 mph - you just have to think outside of the box. With your average 71 Ply B-body and driver roughly weighing in at 4000 lbs, and a drag coefficient of 0.47, and the acceleration of gravity at roughly 10 meters per second, it would take about 18 seconds to r...

Re: Reproduction Battery Color

Thanks Morty for sharing that information. I am too young to remember batteries that far back, lol. Galen's White Book for 1969-1971 cars lists option code F22 as a 46 Amp Series 24 battery with green caps, code F23 as a 59 Amp Series 24 battery with yellow caps, and code F25 as a 70 Amp Series 27 b...

If you need a set of rear frame rails I have a set from a 72 B body already removed. I'll give them to you if you need them. I'm not to far from KC, depending what part your in. Little south and east. Mike Thanks Mike. I also have a set of rear frame rails, but I don't expect I will need them. Its ...
