Re: Roadrunner/Satellite vinyl top

Just got a large box of these, so if anyone needs them, they're around again!

Re: Roadrunner/Satellite vinyl top

Probably too late to help those on the thread, but we just had the tooling built to make these again, and the bucket load shows up in about 4-5 weeks. The prototypes worked just fine on my GTX's belt moldings... and allowed me to remove the one thinner charger 6003147 I stuffed in one place in hopes...

Re: Map light lenses and assemblies

I have a few LEDs here that we can add. It's a standard festoon style bulb though, so they're not tough to find. I dropped a 6 LED version in the one in our GTX, and that throws some good light! Btw, I have a pm headed to you, but it appears to want to hang out in my outbox for a while for some reas...

Re: Map light lenses and assemblies

FYI... After what's been an adventure, production is RUNNING on these! Last prototypes looked great :) ETA is Thanksgiving. On the downside, the pricing mentioned earlier is not going to be the retail going forward as we will never recoup what this finally ended up costing. I expect the pricing note...

Re: Map light lenses and assemblies

Hi,

I'll be in the swap meet. I'm not sure which spaces yet though. You can look for the CO plates on the 01 black sport dodge diesel. I'll probably take a couple original map lights too for comparison. Thanks for the offer though!!

Re: Map light lenses and assemblies

Yep! We've just approved the texturing on the part, but it needs to be applied to the recessed ramp that approaches the lens still. After that, we should be good to go. I'm hoping we're two months out now. I'll have some samples at the nats if anyone's interested in checking them out. I need to pull...

Re: Map light lenses and assemblies

Hi,

I used a white LED festoon lamp. Its an array of 6 LED's. The bulb holder in the new assembly takes a festoon style bulb instead of the original type, so you can easily swap over.

Talk to you later!

Re: Map light lenses and assemblies

Hi, Still chugging along, but we've ran into a snag in that there was an irreversible tooling change done when increasing the texture. The basic approach used to get the texture correct wasn't right. We're awaiting the cost of fixing this. Hopefully in the next month or two we'll have another set of...

Re: Map light lenses and assemblies

Well, I'm not sure the extra texturing was a step in the right direction or not. I think the tough part about this piece is that even when they're "nice", they really don't LOOK nice. Almost like they were run past a beadblaster to roughen them up a bit and knock off the glossy look that the backsid...

Re: Map light lenses and assemblies

Getting closer! Got another round of protos the other day. The texturing is going thru another round to roughen it up some more, but the wiring, switch, lens, etc are there now and looking good! Should have an updated texture in about a month. You can park the switch on these in the middle just like...
