Re: Which Aftermarket 71-72 B-Body Rear Swaybar is Best
Thanks for the info guys but I managed to find a set of NOS factory replacement endlinks and bushings on Ebay. They are the clamp on factory service part and the seller has more listed if anyone is interested.

Need to know quick! which thermoquad for 72 340 auto
Which part number is for a 72 340 thermoquad with an automatic, 6318S or 6319S?
I found a 72 thermoquad but I need to know which one is for a 340 auto.
Thanks in advance,
Joe

Re: 71/72 Dash wire harness
Which year harness do you need, 71 or 72? 71 is a 1 year only and 72-73 are the same. There is a 72-73 harness for sale in the Parts for sale section of this site. The seller wants $180.00 for it along with a rallye cluster.

Re: Rear Sway Bar - Respond Quick!
That swaybar set is complete and correct for a 72 RR but the endlinks have been badly rewelded to the brackets and the bracket bushings look bad. Look at the picts of the brackets closely. The welds are very globby and may not hold. I looked at the same auction and passed on it because of this fact....

Re: '71 GTX - Ralley dash and 741 stock?
The suregrip unit from your 741 case can be swapped into a 489 case. You will need the 489 ring and pinion set as well as all the other parts for the 489 case. If the driveshaft in your car is original, the large yoke on a 489 case will work.

Re: '71 GTX - Ralley dash and 741 stock?
It is impossible to install a factory tach in a cluster that did not originally have a tach or clock. The pod for the tach or clock has an opening in it with a screw on cover to allow the installation of the tach or clock. The non-tach/clock clusters do not have this feature.

Re: '71 GTX - Ralley dash and 741 stock?
You cannot install a tach into your cluster. You need to find a cluster that originally had a clock or tach in it from a 71-74 B-Body. Try and get the harness from a 71 car with a tach as I believe the 71 dash harness was a 1 year only with some wiring differences than the later harnesses. The 489 ...

Re: '71 GTX - Ralley dash and 741 stock?
My 72 340/727 RR came with the tach rallye cluster, the 71 383/727 RR I parted a few years back only had the standard rallye cluster with no clock or tach, the 74 318/904 Satellite SSP I stripped had the rallye cluster with the clock and the 74 Charger SE 318/904 I stripped had the standard rallye c...

Re: Rear sway bar
Good Luck! I am in the same boat with my 72 RR. You are going to have to make new endlinks or buy an aftermarket swaybar. I have pretty much decided to just buy a new swaybar.

Re: '71 GTX - Ralley dash and 741 stock?
1973 318 satellite sebring from St. Louis???? (just a guess, i don't remember my numbers and letters exact) i think mine starts out RH23G1G - 71, but no longer a 318 :D i think the 1 means the year, so that would make it a 73 - strange it would be in a 71 if that's right though You are correct, the...

Re: '71 GTX - Ralley dash and 741 stock?
The 741 case was not just used in A-Bodies. The 741 was still available in 71 and was used in all Mopar models. Although unlikely, it is possible your car originally came with this third member. However, if your car is an original GTX, it is also possible the third member was swapped out because th...
