Re: How To Get The Instrument Panel Loose....

Well Gary, I don't know how far away you are from me and if the no a/c is a big issue, but I have a really nice 71 SSP dash frame that is just taking up space in my garage. If I could get somebody to help me get it down, you can have it.

Re: Turning Root Beer Into Lemonade

Nice job. I like the yellow (like the bronze also). Think I would have preferred black stripes though. Now you have to change your name.

Re: 73-74 LCA bump stops?

Oh really. I had been using my buddy's lift to adjust the torsion bars, when we discovered the broken bump stop. He told me that we would change the oil when I got the stops. I never used wix filters before and the guy at the counter referenced one to replace my ph8a. Well the filter I got was about...

Re: My RR resto project

I'd say about 4 inches is right. The end isn't attached to anything.

If you look closely at the pic, you can see where the end is. I know the passenger side was never replaced (bought the car new).

This side was unmolested (original). I still need to get outside seal. I'm waiting for the bottom piece of rear window trim to magically appear I guess and a few other things that got put near the bottom of things to do list.

Re: My RR resto project

Yeah, it seals the windows correct? I'll try to get pic tomorrow. I'm running around without the outside seals, so you can see the "tail" end.

Re: My RR resto project

Just went to garage and looked. The passenger side on my car is original and the end of the seal is about 4 inches long and just sort of hangs there. I replaced the driver side some years ago and the end of that seal is probably 4 inches shorter. btw, those pics look like the fender splash/support a...

Just wondering if the opposite side hinge was out of adjustment and whether the latch was installed or not.

Re: Slammed/lowered 71/72 RR pictures and info ?

I know it rides so much better than the stock height they originally had it. But yeah, up a little. The header pipes are less than four inches off the ground.

Re: Slammed/lowered 71/72 RR pictures and info ?

10926314_10203695360164544_1117296225182778651_o.jpg When I got an alignment several years ago, I had the mechanic lower the front end. A couple of days ago, I was thinking that I should probably get some new shocks, as they are very old. As I was under the car, I noticed that the frame (rail) was ...
