Re: Window Louvers

I just received a finished and painted set from him. They look fantastic and you couldn't ask for a better guy to deal with.

Re: finally a little green

Phenomenal! My car is supposed to be F7 buts it was painted Arcadia Green, a different dark metallic green, kinda teal'ish.

You see a lot of F8 but not F7 cars. Can't wait to see it rolled out in the sunlight. Great job

Re: aftermarket intakes with airgrabber

It is a royal PITA. The flute is the velocity stack on the air cleaner base plate. You can trim a fair amount off but if you go too high it widens up and then you run into the hole being too big problem.

Re: aftermarket intakes with airgrabber

Personally I wouldn't go for a six pack set up. They dont offer a signifcant gain over a good four barrel set up even if you can get the dammed things tuned properly. I just had my motor rebuilt, they are in the process of put it back in the car as I type this, and I went for a CH4B, stealth heads, ...

Re: Which Edelbrock Carbs Fit?

I'm putting an Eddy 800 cfm carb on mine. The reports I read from one of the car mags said that at higher rpms the engine would be happier with an 800. In essence they said the HP 440's came under carbed

Re: aftermarket intakes with airgrabber

I went through hell getting my air grabber to fit under the hood with an aftermarket intake (440 4bbl). Turned out I had a 383 AG air cleaner base on my 440. After trimming the base it was still too tall. Measured at the carb pad where A is the front of the pad and B is the rear: Stock A 3.4 B 4.2 W...

'71 GTX rocker moldings - painted??

I finally found my rocker moldings and no one is sure if they originally came painted silver or are they just bare aluminum? I can't seem to find any good pictures. There is old silver paint on mine but who knows?

Thank you

Re: 1971 Road Runner Help & Questions

The rust is only a portion of the restoration. I have $15k in parts alone on my car and it was an "ok" rust free driver to start with. This does not include any drive train parts. This car will take many months/years, hundreds or hours in labor, and MANY thousands to finish. Buy an already done car ...

Re: 1971 Road Runner Help & Questions

I think you would be 35-50k to get this car done. This car needs everything and .... "is only" a bench seat, 3 on the tree, 383". As others have said, if the roof is gone..and entire floor..chances are more than good its ready to turn to dust in other places, inner fenders, trunk drip rail, rear win...
