Re: finally... the stroker lives!
I haven't dynoed it yet, just waiting to run it in a little more, which I'll do after the first oil change. But it should be in the 500-550hp range (at the crank). that is if all those magazine articles dont exaggerate... which we know they dont do of course. The reason I went 451 is that I could us...

Re: finally... the stroker lives!
thanks Eric! Good to see you're back as well... I hope your health is 100%. I still regret not pouncing on Martys car. Where did it end up? It's just coming into spring here so it's nice to look forward to all the shows I'll finally be able to get to. Can't wait to pull up next to all the camaros an...

finally... the stroker lives!
Well, I have been too embarrassed to post much over the past 18 months. When my black beast arrived from the US I swore black and blue that I'd have the wimpy old 400 out in a heartbeat. It was the most gutless thing ever put in a tough car. When an old lady dragged me off in a Corolla I knew it was...

Re: 1972 Road Runner/GTX restoration
thanks for the advice on the TTI drone exhaust. I just fitted mine last week and the noise is killing me. Almost makes your eardrums pop.
I saw the resonators... def thinking the same thing, so good to confirm.
But can you tell me about the 3 inch machine gun tips?

Re: QUESTION ABOUT INTAKES...
thanks Eric....
I measured the M1, it's about 35mm taller than the Edelbrock. Might have to choose the air cleaner to fit!

QUESTION ABOUT INTAKES...
Been a while since I posted due to issues with work, kids and general lack of time. But it's almost the end of winter here so I'm getting that feeling, especially when I saw all those pics from Carlisle. My 440 source stroker is going together piece by piece... and I'm almost ready to fire it up. I ...

Re: STROKERS AND BODY FLEX!
thanks again for the tips... I'm gonna go with the 440 Source kit I think. A quick calculation would see 500 HP pretty easy, and that is def more than enough for me. No doubt I'll need new rubber too. And then some more new rubber. Maybe the trans will snap, maybe not. Just getting all the measureme...

Re: STROKERS AND BODY FLEX!
thanks for the advice... I already have the 400 and the heads. Seems like 440 source has the best info, but I liked Muscle Motors as well - they way they explain things is helpful. I'll be going to a 470... which I guess will get me close to 500hp or thereabouts which means I'll be in foreign territ...
