Re: What's The Story W/ This SSP?

I think he is about $1500 to $2000 off in his price but , it's a nice car. I'm waiting for an email from him. He doesn't seem to motivated to sell. I think it would be a cool car to own. It's just a bad time to dish out a nice handful of cash, but if the price is right that makes it all better!

Re: What's The Story W/ This SSP?

It's a cool car, I like it. It has some good points and some bad , like the crappy body work. I'm sure the seller thinks it's worth a bunch. Maybe someone got creative with a blank fender tag and a stamp :D . Where can I find a set of reverse punches? LOL. I think a build sheet would help tell the s...

Re: Engine paint colour

Over my 40 or so years owning mopars I had two Sebring pluses both with factory big blocks (400 & 383) and 4 speeds and they performed as well as Runners. Unfortunately the 440's and Hemi's weren't available, that would have been sweet. I'm sure there were guys back then buying a basic satty with a ...

Re: Engine paint colour

Moparite said "I'm not trying to out of line here, But you are making a fake (clonerunner) look real. Does it really matter at this point?" I think it does matter. That is what a clone is. If he painted the motor blue someone would point that out right away. I have seen clones that look more like a ...

Re: Sloppy steering

You can get kits to rebuild the coupler around $20 maybe less. The rag joint is found on later b bodies. It is a round piece of rubber with cords in it like a tire. The upper shaft is connected to a lower shaft via the rag joint. Chances are the rag joint is not the problem.

Re: Goverment trying to ban our passion?

They have been talking about this for almost 20 years. In most areas you cant have a car that isn't registered siting in plain sight. There are too many people with way too much time on their hands. My brother in law ( he is a dumb Chevy guy) had to register almost 2 dozen cars and trucks. The town ...

Maybe the seller would let you keep the tips at a reduced price. Repainting and polishing them isn't that big of a job.

Re: Ebay sale slotted exhaust tips warning

If you don't send back the tips ebay and paypal will take the $ from your account. He should pay for the original shipping costs. He didn't refund the $ to you, Paypal and ebag did that your behalf because you filed a dispute. I would just trade the bad set of tips for a good pair. It was probably a...

Re: Hood release help...PLEASE

My 72 ssp came with a vertical hood release. It was built in June of 72. I have an NOS release 3695565 that is listed for a 73 in the parts book that has the vertical handle. I have had 72's with both styles. They probably started to use the 73 parts late in 72.

Re: Advice for a newbie

It's very hard to throw that much $ on a car that you can not personally inspect. I think you could find a real runner that needs some work for less then then you would spend on this car. Maybe if it had a period correct big block in it and a couple of other things done it might be worth the $. I ha...
