Does anybody know where I could find a balancer for a cast crank 440 from '72? Part # 3577785. Ebay seems over-run with guys selling "new" dampers for steel cranks. I have 2 in the 75+ "bullet nose" style, but 1 has 4 of the 6 tapped holes drilled out, and the other is rusted bad, and I am not sure ...

Just got it today. It is a beautiful car. The owner has a 1972 B5 440 4 speed roadrunner as well. I am thinking that the cars in that magazine are being airbrushed. That 2 page spread looks to good to be true, look at the window trim to see what I mean.

Was the 73-74 style center cap on all the 1972 cars with rallye wheels? Or was it a middle of the year type change? My 72 car has the later style, but I do see alot of 72s with the earlier kind.

Well the transmissions had to be swapped. Plus the new carb, new plumbing, re-wiring, pulling everything that has to do with the AC, and all the other work it takes, but nothing is more rewarding.

Why clone? Why not make something faster than a Road Runner. I lost no sleep pulling my Satellite's 318 and replacing it with a 440. Besides, Richard Petty's stock car was a Satellite. Shirley Muldowney's funny car was modeled after the Satellite. That cartoon bird is on too many products now anyway...

I love that car. A great companion to a Little Red Express. These mid-seventies cars are neat and rare.
