Re: 17" rims - where to buy?

Oh, I forgot to mention - 0mm offset, 5" backspace. They fit with no clearance problems whatsoever!

Re: 17" rims - where to buy?

Well, I finally found some rims that I liked and put them on the car. 17" Ion 625's, 9 inches wide.

I'm running 255/45s all around.

A pic is attached.

Re: 17" rims - where to buy?

I'm looking for a 17x9 or 17x8 rim. As for the offset and backspacing, that's what I really don't feel comfortable with. I was hoping that there would be some rims out there that were already made for my car and therefore, would have the correct offset & backspace. I know that American Racing has a ...

17" rims - where to buy?

What 17" rims are available and compatible with a 71 Satellite/RR? I'm looking to buy a set ASAP, but I don't know where to look.

Any advice?

Thanks.

luvmoparz,

One more question:

Did your car have the thick side moulding or the thin? The picture of the green car in your autosig shows the thicker moulding, which is different than mine.

Thanks.

Update:

I've contacted Mr. G's but they just have clips and fasteners and no idea at all what year or model car they are used for.

If anyone here has a sample clip/fastener for these rocker panel moldings I'd be very very appreciative. Any pictures or even a description?

Anyone? Anyone?

Need rocker panel trim clips - anyone know a source?

I have a 1971 Satellite and it's about 99.9% restored. The last thing it needs is for me to attach the rocker panel chrome trim (the thin 6' strips), but I can't seem to find the plastic clips that allow the trim piece to attach to the small metal tabs in the body. I've attached a picture of the car...

Polygraphite

I go with PST, and I've purchased 3 sets over the years. I've never had a bad experience and the one time I needed tech support they were very responsive. Just Suspension is also good, but the last time I bought parts there they completely screwed up my order and I had to return everything.

Old direct connection

I have a set of the 90's era Direct Connection frame connectors. They were bolt in but I had them welded in instead. They did wonders for me on the autocross Solo II tracks.

Top Speed

Keep in mind that unless you have a lock up torque converter, you're going to lose about 10% of your rpm's to slippage. And at speeds above 110 mph you're going to lose a bunch of power just to fight wind resistance. I have a 71 Satellite running 370 hp, 410 torque, 3.23's, 245/60-15 tires, and a ge...

17" rims for 71 Satellite Sebring?

I posted something similar to this on Moparts. I want to put 17" rims on my 71 Satellite Sebring, and I'm wondering if anyone has any experience doing this themselves. I'm interested in any rim manufacturers out there that have rims that will fit or who can make them with a proper offset. I'm thinki...

Believe it or not, I actually like the Sassy Grass Green. It's eye catching and unique.

Although my actual 71 RoadRunner is B5 Blue and my 71 Satellite Sebring is Bahama Yellow.
