Re: suspension torque values
For the lower ball joint, is that the torque setting for the threaded or non-threaded? Mine came with threaded. Also, I hate how the factory manual has absolutely no picture of the floating torsion bar rear crossmember piece, but from the description in the manual (presuming it's referring to the sa...

Pink torsion bar inspection marks found
So I removed and degreased my torsion bars and found that the inspection marks are pink (two on the left, one on the right)! Should I be offended? Just kidding, but I've always heard they're brown, but never actually seen them. This is for a 1973 Road Runner. There's also yellow paint dabs on the he...

Re: What size tap for LCA bushing press out?
For those that don't weld washers to their LCA bushings, I have confirmed 1-7/16" tap is the proper size for 73-74 B-Bodies... not sure of '71-'72 B-bodies. 1-3/8" like the A-bodies?

What size tap for LCA bushing press out?
So after reading how the A-body guys do things, I bought a 1-3/8" tap to drive down the LCA outer shell (so I can press the bushing out) since I have a 30-ton press already. Stupid me, didn't even think that perhaps our LCA bushings are beefier. I tried measuring, but can't decide if I need a 1-7/16...

Re: 73-74 LCA bump stops?
OMG, O'Reilly's actually has it. It's not a MOOG part (who doesn't appear to make it at all), but Rare Parts brand. And yes, it is a different part #, looks different, etc., but correct for 73-74! I'm happy, thanks! Being as how my girlfriend works there, it's odd I didn't think of using them.

Re: 73-74 LCA bump stops?
I believe the 73-74 are different than the 71-72, as I can only find the part # up to 72, nothing after. But I guess if it bolts on...

73-74 LCA bump stops?
I'm replacing all my suspension parts with MOOG. Yes, rubber! Please don't judge, lol. ANYWAY, I'm having a hard time finding the LCA bump stops for '73-74. Does Moog not reproduce this? Yes, I'm aware I can use the poly ones, I'm aware the previous year probably bolts on, as does some Silverado bum...

Answering my own question: 1-59/64" seems to do the trick.

Re: Threaded vs Pressed Lower Ball Joint?
Seems weird to have two different types, especially since the control arm is different. Maybe it was a big block versus small block thing? Anyone here actually have the non-threaded type ball joints? I was talking about the lower ball joint, not the upper, by the way.

Re: 1973 Mist Green (F1) Roadrunner
Okay, okay, I guess I just meant a lot of people (a highly relative term in regards to Mopar ownership) with "undesirable" car colors tend to go Hi-Impact or black. I have no stats to verify this, I was just trying to get the OP to paint his car the stock color. Of course, any year Mopar, any color,...

Re: 1973 Mist Green (F1) Roadrunner
I hav a '73 Mist Green RR. I too was on the fence about it for a while, even considering the "better" "Limelight/Sublime" color, but in the sea of Hi-Impact or black Mopars, yours will definitely stand out as unique. I appreciate mine more every day because it IS unique. In fact, I'm going to change...

Re: Threaded vs Pressed Lower Ball Joint?
Moog states if your car originally had threaded, you must replace with threaded, yet most front-end kits just give you the press-fit by default. Will they interchange?
