Re: ideal tires for 15s
If you have 275/60 on the rear, check out a 225/70 for the front. That will really give you a nice stance.

Re: 383 Cast Cranks
the cats crank was used starting in 71, on the 2 bbl motors only. In 72, the 400 was introduced, with the same cast crank, unless you had a 4 speed, those motors got forged cranks.

Re: Help With Wheel/Tire Sizing
That combo should be fine, I ran 15X8 with a 245/60 15 with out any problems on my wagon, and 15x10 with 275/60/15 on the back of my charger, no rubbing at all.

Re: seat frames
All wagons and 4 doors had solid, fixed backs and the 2 doors used a split back, to allow you to get to the back seat. I discarded a 4 door bench, the bottom did not have the mounting points for the split back.

Re: '71-'72 Satellite front clip fit on a '73?
for those talking about the wagon, I have 2 wagons, a 71 and a 73.There is no possible way to fit the 2 door front clip, nothing will line up. the 4 door & wagons have a sharp line at the top of the fenders, lines up with the door lines, also the 2 doors are 1 inch shorter between the wheel lip, and...

Re: Tire s rub, any advice?
Well, since I first posted, a Bradford pear tree decided to spend some quality time with the car, dammage don't seem to be too bad, had to replace the front shocks, 3 wheel studs, the rear shocks (not tree's fault), and looking for rear springs. minor damage to front sheet metal....... anyone tried l...

I need rear spring help.
I have a 73 satellite custon wagon. the rear springs are shot. I called mancini racing, the extra heavy duty springs will not work. I called ESPO, they discontinued the rear springs for wagons, they also explained that the wagon springs used a stiffer steel than the 2 doors, and that 73 is a special...

Re: Tire s rub, any advice?
Speed bumps- no rubbing, reaching the bottom of the hill, rubs. the car sits level, could stand to be raised about an inch or so in the back, but the front shocks look loike a recent addition, will probably change soon. I really dont want to change the tires, they look "right", but I do have some 14...

Tire s rub, any advice?
I have an 73 Satellite custom station wagon. I have 245/60/15's on 7.5 old school et mags, the offset is neutral. On bumps, the front passenger side tire seems to be rubbing on the fender brace, in the wheelwell. I Have not had the car very long, but it drives nice, it is a very soft, cushy ride, an...

loose lug nuts
I got a problem. Just put some old school mags on my 1973 Satellite custom. They are uni-lug, and look like they need inserts (long gone). The keystone offset washers fit tight into the wheel, But, the lug nuts, on one wheel only (drivers front) keep coming loose, I've lost two, and a third, the stu...

Re: Dash tach for non-Rallye '71-74 B-bodies
That tach is nice looking, I guess that it replaces the clock on the right side. it seems to be real small, let me know how you like it., I mounted a stewart warner stage II tach to the windshield post, over on the left, put s/w oil and water temp gauges on top, near the dash speaker.
