Defective Stripes?
Ok, I just want to confirm what I think I already know.... I started applying all my stripes tonight, and things pretty much went bad right from the start. First.... I applied the 72 reflective hood "callout decals". These are the ones with the reflective background and a black outline. The decals w...

I wasn't able to find any either. I bought some thing foam and cut my own for all the doors, then spray adhesived them on. I haven't yet found a decent piece to make that big square that goes around the vent duct, but I need to cuz it smells really bad from all the mice that were in the heater system.

With a start problem like this, ballast resistor is always the first place I start too. As a matter of fact, I carry an extra in the glove compartments of all my cars. Several times in the past I've shut a car off on a road trip and found it would no longer fire when I came back. In all cases except...

I remove my glass from inside the car. Buy a really good quality razor knife, and run the blade into the glue across the top and both sides. Make sure you don't hit the glass with the blade, as you can cause a crack with even a small nick. Once you have cut through all the glue on those 3 sides, car...

Hi Patrick, I repaired cracks like that on my 72 grille with good ol' JB Weld. I just separated the crack a bit, and forced the epoxy into it. Depending on the crack location, you can also smear a little over the back side of the crack to add strenght. I found that if you let is set for an hour or s...

Arm Rest Pads
Just was wondering how many of you had purchased the new arm rest pads that Year One/Legendary are selling. I ended up buying one replacement from Year One, cuz they were to first to get it in stock. Am I the only one that is mildly disappointed in the quality of this product? It was made by AccuFor...

I run a good quality 10W30 in all of my cars. I haven't bothered with synthetics at this point. I figure if these cars could get over 100000 miles on the oils of the 70's, that they should be fine for the 1000 or so miles a year I put on em now without the use of an expensive synthetic. I'm pretty s...

My father makes alot of custom dashes for customs and street rods. Usually he makes his stuff out of 20 guage stainless. He will take a measurement of the area to be filled and then proceed in a couple of different ways. 1. If the area is fairly square, he will cut he sheet to fit, and bend the lips...

If the car has had a differential gearing change, and the transmission speedometer gear was not changed to match, then the speedometer will read incorrectly. For example, if you changed from a 3.23 ratio to a 3.91 ratio, then your speedometer will show a faster speed than you are actually travelling...
