Re: WIW....the dreaded question.. 71 SSP

Looks nice. Wish I could snag it. I'm in the middle of the Barracuda though. I'd prefer the bbody over my 71 e.

Re: Where does the RR decal on a 73/4 go...

They got cheap in 1973 & 1974 when it came to the vinyl roof Road Runner. They only put the chrome script on the sides of the car. No running bird along with it. Just the bird decal on the front header panel, and on the trunklid. Not true. My dad had a 73, vinyl with the script, but it had the stan...

All I can say is I'd sell my "muslecars" for a new Challenger. After driving my wife's Daytona Charger my old cars feel so archaic and unsafe.

Those wheels and tires were bought for the Cuda but since it is still a work in progress I put them on the Satellite. If I was going to buy some for the Satellite I would go with a 15x8. These are currently 15x7 235/60 front 255/60 rear.

73-74s becoming more popular?

This site has always had a "soft spot" for the 71-74s with the 71-72 dominating most discussions. In '98 when I was looking for a 71-72 (before the internet was really an option) I had a tough time finding one and eventually stumbled upon a '71 Barracuda. I bought it and have yet to get it finished ...

You are aware that newer cars are safer than the old cars aren't you?

No bubble burst at all. I have only found 2 around the greater s/e texas and houston areas and both had rust issues. They were around $200. Vinyl tops were available on Roadrunner as well. This is a pic of my dad's 73 340 RR when new. I found the car and redid it in the late 80s but sold it in '95. ...
